Having already collected much valuable information, he would like to hear from anyone who has any personal reminiscences about their time in the Corps, has any interesting or ‘historical’ information, particularly that which is not usually accessible, or has any items of interest (photos, accoutrements etc) relating to the Corps. The areas to be covered include the Corps’ origins, parades/inspections, its role in the school, wartime, Etonians at war, the OE VC and GCs, Eton’s war memorials, the development of the uniform, the bands, the colours, Corps personalities, training (field days, shooting, camps etc) and Eton’s on-going links with the military. Anyone with anything of potential interest can contact him at PO Box 71582, Bryanston 2021, Gauteng, South Africa, e-mail: goosgog@hotmail.com – he would be delighted to hear from them.
